Eastman E1SS-LTD Satin Natural
With solid Adirondack spruce for the top and sapele back/sides, along with a Fishman Sonitone pickup, bone nut/saddle, open-pore satin nitrocellulose finish, and absolutely superb playability, this guitar begs the question- "why is it so inexpensive?"
Eastman crafted these limited edition guitars (this one is #126/250!) out of Adirondack spruce rather than their usual Sitka, and used "less favorably grained" sapele for the rest of the construction- then put these together with the same exacting scrutiny that Eastman is known for. The result is a fantastic sounding, remarkably easy to play, and very unique guitar that just happens to cost less to produce. Now this limited edition beauty is only $800, and in terms of the colloquial "bang for your buck," it certainly delivers.
The tone is very full and well-rounded, with bright highs tamed by a rich bass register. Loud and proud, with a tone that begs for powerful rhythm and slinky, defined picking. Reminiscent of vintage jumbo Gibson acoustics.
Brand new, immaculate condition. Comes with gig bag and Eastman warrantee.
